My parents each worked for the US State Department. My mother was raised in Asian countries via her father's Army career and was attracted to work that enabled overseas travel. My father joined the US Army, fought in Europe in WWII and was recruited by the US Government.
My parents met in Hong Kong, both working under cover for the US Government. The family story is that my mother was assigned to pass sensitive information to my father. Their cover was that they were dating, and they would meet in bars and restaurants in order for the information to be communicated. Ultimately, they married.
Once married, my mother left her position and became a homemaker. My father's career assisting the US effort to fight communism took our family throughout Asia.
Although many more beautiful pieces of art and furniture were collected throughout the years, these pieces are the ones that have remained in my care. Each has been enjoyed by three generations now.
If you would like to give any one of these beautiful treasures a home, please contact me.
